About Salvator
Salvator has had a rough start to life. He came from the pound very underweight and the pound reported him as dog aggressive and that he was trained as a "guard dog". He has many scars on his coat depicting life has not been easy. Since coming to us and at our vet clinic he has been a gentle affectionate well behaved dog. Our trainer says "More tolerant than actively seeking engagement with kids." He walks well on loose lead and does not react at other dogs going past. He sits on command. Walkers say “Walked well on loose lead – very friendly and non reactive”. “Lovely obedient boy." He has a short coat and came in at 22.2kg.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
