About Sweetheart Sheila
Sheila is a shy girl who I suspect has been actively abused in the past. Because of this, she is slow to trust and needs time and patience to settle into a new home.
She absolutely loves pats but she is very shy about coming to ask for them. This being said, she does jump onto her foster mum's bed for cuddles and rolls over for belly scratches. All on her terms of course. She will also sit on her foster mum's lap on the couch for literally hours, she's a proper lapcat.
She doesn't hide, except from strangers, or run away when approached by someone she trusts. You just get a cute little hiss as a greeting. I take it as her way of saying hello 🙂
She LOVES being up high and her favourite spots are at the top of a scratch tower and on top of cupboards.
She would do best in a home with no other cats. She gets stressed in a multi cat home which results in her peeing outside the litter tray.
Do you have a safe and quiet home for this girl to live in? She needs a home with no children under 15 and no dogs.
She's fully grown but the size of a 9 month old kitty, and while we don't know her history, her ducking her head from pats and her small size do not hint at a happy past.

Medical notes
Our cats come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3 & booster), microchipped, FIV & FELV tested and will have up to date worm and flea treatments. There is a one-time council registration fee which is compulsory in NSW, that will need to be met at completion of the adoption trial. Please note their age in this ad is an estimate only. They are rescue cats and their foster parents do not know their precise age or family history and cannot guarantee their future health.
