About Montana *On Trial*
Montana is our resident QUEEN (shared with Piper of course) and yes she is a big mumma too! Montana was found around a reserve in Dalkeith before she was picked up and taken to a local vet clinic, they were so good with Montana and one of the Vets took her home whilst the search was on to find her owners. Sadly, they were never found nor was Montana micro-chipped. That's where Montana's sad story ends and her new life began the moment we picked her up! This stunning girl has made a total transformation and is a beautiful, loving, gentle sole with a cheeky sassy personality. Montana has been well handled but due to her size, prefers all 4 paws on the floor especially if there is head pats and ear scratches at the ready!
Montana is a very special bun to us and was recently able to donate blood to another local sick bunny who required several blood transfusions. Montana stepped up to the plate and donated - Because of Montana's blood donation, the local bun survived and is apparently recovering really well. We are very proud of her!
As mentioned above, Montana is a big bun and weighs in at 4.2kg a real gentle giant! Montana isn't fussy with her food and has been on a good diet with Science Selective pellets, ALOT of fresh oaten hay, a wide variety of vegetables and herbs with some fruit (limited amounts). Montana especially loves Smooshie Face Treats and will do just about anything for them too!
Montana is 12-14 months old. Yes, she has been desexed/vaccinated/microchipped by The Unusual Pet Vets. Montana had a thorough vet check by Dalkeith Vet Clinic when she was found and also our vets at The Unusual Pet Vets. Only a small wound on the base of her ear needed to be treated.
Montana would suit being a single spoilt bunny where she is the centre of your world and to be showered with all the love. We are looking for a lovely forever home for Montana and know the right person or family is out there for her. Ideally, we would be looking for Montana to be housed indoors (pen setup) with plenty of free range time and supervised outdoor time - This ensures Montana is apart of everyday living and an important member of the family.
Montana's adoption fee is $185 which covers Montana's desexing, vaccination and microchip at The Unusual Pet Vets.
Medical notes
Montana has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more regarding our rescue or considering adopting one of our precious bunnies, please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you may be a suitable match we will send you through a application form (step 1).
Once we have received your forms and feel you would be a good fit for our rescue bun/buns, we will arrange a time for you to meet (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your setup is safe and secure. If all parties are happy to proceed, an adoption fee is paid and your welcome to take your new family member home on a 2 week trial (step 3). If after or anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going nowhere, the decision is made final and we make the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
