About Henry- Dingo Mix
Hi my name is Henry, and I'm an alpine dingo mix. Sadly my mum passed away when I was just 4 weeks old, our old owner wasn't able to take care of us and so my Sister Pip and I went to live at the Dingo Rescue. We love it here with the other puppies, romping and playing, but I'd really like to find an active, fun family of my very own. We can be rehomed together or separately.
ABOUT HENRY:
Henry is a quiet, gentle boy, good with people but generally shy at first- he bonds strongly with people he sees regularly but can take a few times of meeting a new person to feel confident around them. One he gets to know you Henry is playful and cuddly. Because of his shy, quiet nature she would be better suited to a home with older kids (over 5). He will be around 18-20kg fully grown and would love a home with a doggy or dingo friend of a similar size or bigger for company.
Being a dingo mix Henry is not suitable to be let off leash in unfenced areas as she will not come back. Dingoes should be kept on leash outside your yard. Like all dingoes, Henry has a high prey drive and is not suitable to with cats, pocket pets or birds. Henry needs a large yard and can not live in an apartment.
Fencing requirements:
Henry is a medium content dingo, this means she has 50% or more dingo parentage as well as some dog genetics.
You will need ONE OR MORE of the follow BEFORE an adoption trial for a dingo can begin.
- Minimum 1.8m high color-bond or paling fence with nothing leaning against or near the fence line .
- Mesh, concrete or similar around the base of the fence may also be required to prevent digging
Alternatively, if you live in a rural area without yard fencing:
-A dog enclosure at least 1.8m high with either a full roof or 45 degree inward facing over-hang of 60cm to prevent climbing. Must be at least 25m square (for instance 5m x 5m or 8m x 3m)
Some manufacturers of pre-made dog enclosures include:

Another option is using construction fencing style panels from Bunnings or welded mesh sheets and posts.

Dingo Adoption:
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our shelter or their foster carers home and let us find the right furry family member for you.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
