About Batman/ Butch
Don't be fooled by my black bear like appearance I'm really just a sweet, shy, smoochy little man. Currently I'm being fostered after having dental surgery, now that's all done I'm ready to be adopted into my forever home!
I came with the name 'Butch' albeit my foster mum agrees I don't actually have any butch-like characteristics so instead I've been nicknamed 'Batman' for my various bat-like qualities; I sleep all day, I have bright eyes, I love to hide, I have a small head for my big all black furry body, my little front fang sits outside my mouth... and of course I'm a little man.
I LOVE chin and head scratches. I love to snuggle but I'm not so much a lap cat - you can lay down on the bed or couch but just be sure to leave room for me to snuggle up next to you, I'll purr and keep you company especially if you happen to be on a soft blanket - I take any and every opportunity to knead soft blankets and cushions. I'll generally snuggle up close to your heart and within hands reach (so you can stroke my super soft fur).
I am still a little shy and anxious especially when I hear strange/loud noises or meet new people (quiet and gentle head and chin scratches will win me over!) I sometimes play-bite to let you know I'd like some attention and other times to ask you to spot patting me 'there' - please note rarely am I saying stop patting me in general, I just want you to change where on my body you're patting me.
I can handle being picked up although I'm not a huge fan. I'll run to you (or at least you'll get my attention) when called via the kissy sound or a soft whistle. I'm fully litter trained and am unfazed if you change the type of litter I use or type of biscuits I eat - I do love wet food as a treat, especially tuna or chicken!
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
