About Gia Gia
My name is Gia Gia and I'm 15 years young, but don't let me age fool you, I'm still a kitten at heart! Despite my age I'm still very curious and still do zoomies when I feel like it.
I love being around my hoomans and just looooove giving them smooches every day. I am a lap cat (especially if you have a fluffy blanket on you!) and I like being picked up, although not for super long. My favourite toy is just a regular shoe lace, I can hunt it every day! My other favourite activity is following sun spots on your patio or balcony. My foster parents say my cutest feature is showing my fangs when they pat my head.
Despite loving my humans, I can be a bit skittish and take some time to settle, so a quiet home would suit me best. I may not be great with toddlers but I'd be fine with older children who understand boundaries and know how to handle and pat me gently.
Please click Adopt Me to register your interest in meeting me at my foster home in Maylands.
Medical Notes
Gia Gia may have mild discomfort most likely associated with osteoarthritis. She is currently receiving a medication called Meloxicam to alleviate her pain.
Cats with arthritis may not act as though they are painful and symptoms may not correlate with blood tests or xrays. Cats may show their discomfort in a variety of ways including inappropriate elimination (outside the litter box), decreased grooming, reluctance to be combed, reluctance to jump up/down, sleeping more, moving less, withdrawing from interaction with the owner, and hiding. If you notice any of these behaviours, please seek veterinary attention.
Please note: Clicking Adopt Me does not place a "hold" on the cat, or guarantee an adoption, but is a request to meet the cat with a view to possibly adopting.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
