About Alaska
Alaska had been on our surrender list for a week or two before a spot became available for him in our rescue. His family had decided to surrender him as their living circumstances had changed. We were more than happy to take Alaska in and it became evident very quickly he was a very special bunny.
Alaska is in excellent condition and received a perfect bill of health from The Unusual Pet Vets where he was desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. Alaska has a beautiful short white coat which is easy care and would require a weekly brush to maintain.
Food, food and more food! Alaska isn't at all fussy with his food and has enjoyed a wide variety of vege and herbs with some apple and pear treats! He does love his Science Selective pellets, breakfast of champions! Oaten hay is his choice of hay and happily munches all day long. He does love his dried kiwi fruit and apple slice treats!
Alaska has a very bright personality and it's very hard not to have a smile on your face when you look at him, he is just so handsome! Alaska doesn't mind being held and patted and does LOVE his head scratches and ear twirls. I found Alaska to have a gentle, loving personality but given the chance he is full of energy too - He isn't a boring bunny! Its clear he has been well handled and isn't afraid to be patted or picked up as long as you are in a secure stance.
Alaska is 12 months old and is a small bun in size (under 2kg). Yes, he has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped by The Unusual Pet Vets.
As Alaska has been a single bun his entire life, there might be potential for him to be bonded to a desexed female or very easily be a single spoilt bunny. We are looking for a lovely forever home for Alaska and know the right person or family is out there for him. Ideally, we would be looking for a home where Alaska would be indoors (pen setup) and be apart of everyday living.
Alaska's adoption fee is $185 which includes his desexing, vaccination and microchip at The Unusual Pet Vets.
Medical notes
Alaska has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more regarding our rescue or considering adopting one of our precious bunnies, please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you may be a suitable match we will send you through a application form (step 1).
Once we have received your forms and feel you would be a good fit for our rescue bun/buns, we will arrange a time for you to meet (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your setup is safe and secure. If all parties are happy to proceed, an adoption fee is paid and your welcome to take your new family member home on a 2 week trial (step 3). If after or anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going nowhere, the decision is made final and we make the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
