About Wilbur
WILBUR IS IN CARE AT OUT HELENSBURGH PROPERTY, SO PLEASE MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET HIM!
Wilbur is very much the country bumpkin now living in the big city! Every experience is a new and exciting adventure, and he would love nothing more than a mate to experience this with!
He is a big goofy boy who would suit someone who wants a dog to go on adventures and experience life with! An experienced big dog owner who will commit to ongoing training and routine to ensure that Wilbur grows up to be the best behaved dog possible.
Wilbur is about the size of a Labrador and like labs, he wants fun and exercise! He loves to run in circles and play with lots of toys. He loves to chase a ball (especially a football, which comes with him), loves his paddle pool and he loves giving big hugs and walking with his arms around your waist. He enjoys going on bush walks and behaves well on the lead most of the time. Further lead training would be beneficial.
Wilbur loves to ride in the car, so someone who will take him on lots of weekend adventures would be perfect for him. He mainly just wants to hang out with people, and does refer them over other dogs. Due to this, we would suggest that Wilbur be an only dog. Cats are not for Wilbur nor are young kids. He is just too strong for them.
Wilbur can be a little unsure of new people at first but once the treats start, the cuddling begins and he will love you forever. He loves most people he meets, with the exception of scruffy looking tradie types with beards and wearing hi-vis. This is likely to do with something in his past.
Our dream is to see Wilbur enjoying life's adventures with someone and then curling up on the couch for snooze time. :)

Adoption details
If you would like to adopt a country pet there are a few requirements.
A chat with the foster carer is the first step to determine if the pet is the right one for you and your lifrstyle. A yard check while having a meet and greet is the next step and if all is satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the foster carer.
