About Miffy
Hi, I'm Miffy. My foster Hoomans call me Miffy Mischievous.
I definitely wasn't shy when I first came home to my foster house. I was head bopping hands and being a real smooch straight out of the car! It did take me a little while to get used on the other rooms in the house- I gave a couple of hisses early on when I've was feeling overwhelmed but by week 2 I was pretty much running the place and feeling great in my new foster home. Even now I like to stand at the door of my room and watch the rest of the household. If something gets my attention, I'll come out and follow you around until you pat me or give me attention.
I'm also an older girl at 10 years, but holy moly I definitely don't act like it! Don't get me wrong I love to have a snooze in my special little box on the top of the dresser, but as soon as I hear someone walking around I'm straight out to follow them around and just hang out! I'm very vocal too when I enter the room and spot you- I'll give a big old chirp to ask you what's the goss?! I understand English - specifically I know my name! I'm a bit like a dog in that if you sing out my name I'll come and find you! (once I've had a stretch!). I'll also follow you around if you walk and call my name! I also like toys (in short spurts). I've been enjoying my foster Hooman working from home and come and say hi throughout the day between naps. I like to get up on the desk and windowsill to investigate.
A bit of serious stuff now: I have been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease so I do require special food to help my kidneys cope and I do drink quite a bit of water and do quite a few wees in my litter tray, but I'm a very neat girl.
At night time I love getting my dinner satchel, as I'm not a huge bickie eater but will have a fewcrunches during the night and throughout the day. I'm happy to wind down with you on the couch atnight time and LOVE making dough and purring! I'm not a huge bed sleeper but I'll come in to say goodnight and once I hear your alarm go off, I'll be in to say good morning!
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
