About Pookie/gibson
Hello, hello there my name is Pookie or Pookie Jag should I say. I am a Tomcat in the process of transitioning my name to Jaguar. I am a quiet cat that loves his sleep and private space.
When I first got to my foster home I was very scared, I spent the first day curled up in a ball, shaking, overwhelmed by the space and unfamiliar noises, on top of that I had trust issues with humans. I have been working hard on this though, believe me it hasn't been easy! Despite my fears I know how to behave and be kind, I have never hissed or scratched my foster mum, deep down I am a very gentle soul. It took over a week for me to wander out of my safe room and that is only because I knew there was some food for me in the kitchen... for important things like that I know how to put my brave hat on. I am a very polite cat, I know how to say thank you when my litter gets cleaned and when I receive cuddles. I have learned to love cuddles, at first I would only allow a scratch on the head but know I am brave enough to come to my foster mum to ask for it, I am even starting to enjoy lying on her laps for a cuddle session. I also love playing with sticks or a piece of string and these alu balls that make weird noises, I got caught a few times running up and down the corridor having a great time by myself! A quiet home with no children would suit me best as I am still very sensitive to unfamiliar noises. I am FIV which means I'll need to be an indoor only boy. I am very affectionate and have lots of love to give, I can't wait to meet you!
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
