About Kung Fu Panda
When I first got him he was quite shy and a little bit scared. He hid under my bed for a few days, only really coming out for food. He did hiss sometimes too, but I was still able to pick him up and stroke him and he would settle down. After a week or so he then started coming out more and sitting in the living room with me but at a distance. Now he comes and sits next to me and comes up for a snuggle if you put him on your chest he likes it. He does those cute little kisses - but you have to be careful! One minute hes happy and purring and the next he might quickly attack you! I think that must be why he's called Kung FU! I have also noticed, especially at night time, he meows a lot - I thought maybe he was scared of the dark but even with all of the curtains closed, or that he was just longing to go outside. He still meows quite a lot now still at night - it think maybe its just for attention! He'll shut up if you pick him up or give him a stroke, but you may not always feel like that at 2am in the morning!
Now he's settled in he still sleeps under the bed sometimes during the day, but often comes out to play or just follows me around for a bit.
He still kinda gets spooked and runs away with any loud noises so I'd suggest a quiet place if possible. The more I get to know him the more he is relaxing and becoming less shy around me.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
