About Sara *Adopted*
It took a big team effort to capture Sara who had been wondering between the houses of Mickleton Terrace in Bassendean for several days. Lucky for Sara there was a lovely lady by the name of Sara (who Sara is named after) who was looking out for her and after a few hectic days she was finally caught! Sara came into care with Lost Souls Rabbit Refuge in pretty good condition, she has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets and received a perfect health score! Sadly, Sara was not microchipped and her owners were never found, we suspect she had been dumped.
After being in care for a few weeks, Sara is like a brand new bun - Her coat is lovely, bright and shiney, her face is alot brighter and she has life in her beautiful brown eyes again. Amazing what some intensive TLC and rehab can do to a bunnys outlook on life. We are really proud how far she has come!
Sara has a beautiful personality, although she has had a tough start she is begining to trust humans again and she knows she is finally safe. Those helicopter ears are just rediculously cute too! Sara can be shy to start off with but once she knows she can trust you she really comes out of her shell.....especially if you have dried kiwi fruit too!
In terms of food....Sara is a hay monster and looooves munching on fresh oaten hay! I haven't seen her be fussy at all with her vegies and she loves a slice of Pink Lady apple. Basil fresh from the garden is also one of her faves too! Science Selective rabbit pellets in the morning, breakfast of champions!
Sara's adoption fee is $185 which includes desexing, vaccination and microchip at The Unusual Pet Vets - This has been completed. All the certificates are given to you with her information pack upon trial.
We are looking for a solid, stable forever home for Sara - Somewhere where she can continue to grow and live out her life as a spoilt happy bunny! There is potential for Sara in time to be bonded with a desexed male but not in the immediate future (this may take some time). We estimate Sara to be approx 11-12 months old. Ideally, we would be looking for a family where Sara would be indoors (pen setup/free range) and be apart of everyday living.
Medical notes
Sara has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more regarding our rescue or considering adopting one of our precious bunnies, please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you may be a suitable match we will send you through a application form (step 1).
Once we have received your forms and feel you would be a good fit for our rescue bun/buns, we will arrange a time for you to meet (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your setup is safe and secure. If all parties are happy to proceed, an adoption fee is paid and your welcome to take your new family member home on a 2 week trial (step 3). If after or anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going nowhere, the decision is made final and we make the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
