About Allie
This pretty little love is the epitome of a gentle little snuggler. She likes cuddles, but also likes to take herself off to her little bed when she pleases. An old injury means she needs only little journeys from her bed to the yard for a snuffle about and back - no pounding the footpath or epic on-paw adventures. She needs to be lifted up for cuddles and placed down again - ladies don't perform acrobatics either! She travels well in a appropriate carriers for little furries, and enjoys the world outside her home - just not walking in it - ladies shouldn't have to exert themselves after all. If she has canine friends they need to be the type to sit quietly with her not leap on her or roll her about. Any humans in her world need to understand that she's gentle, not rough and tumble. Good diet and weight management are an essential part of living with her, and a willingness to carry her down her road into the future wherever it may lead in terms of supportive care or further treatment.
This lady has just recovered from an almost catastrophic accident. She will require regular medication, and a close relationship with your vet. Her new family will require the commitment, and the financial ability to provide for her in what maybe become increasing health care expenses down the track. It is possible that her condition may become unsustainable in years to come so her family will need to be brave enough to face that hurdle if it arises, but willing to stand with her for the journey she faces. Extensive references from the successful adoptors vet will be vital to secure the opportunity to adopt this baby girl.
Medical notes
Allie had a sacral pelvic repair at the end of August post being hit by a car. Surgery was done by specialist vets and recovery overseen by local vets. Healing of fractures are complete however the nerve canal is showing considerable narrowing as time goes on. She will need continued pain medication, as well as careful diet to ensure comfortable bowel movements.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://aus01a.sheltermanager.com/service?account=rc0442&method=online_form_html&formid=16
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we may arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The four week trial begins on the day of adoption.
We prefer payment by funds transfer or cash and don't accept personal cheques.
