About Charlie
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST: we have a new boy on the block who is a 9 year old Cavvie cross/Cocker Spaniel, this is what his owner says about him:
CHARLIE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR APARTMENT LIVING.
This is Charlie, he is 9 and a half years old cavie cross king Charles/ Cocker Spaniel, he appears to be house trained, is desexed, up to date with all meds,
Charlie needs a home with a retired couple/single still active people so he can go on daily walks, he is anxious to start with but takes a couple of days to settle, is a tad shy around strangers and would be best as an only dog.
His previous owner rehomed him because he did not get along with her 2 NEW Poodles, so obviously he is the older dog and had to go, just my thoughts. He has now settled in his new home but not knowing what he was like with other dogs, he doesn't tolerate them well, he is not aggressive towards them he just wants the attention.
He needs a family of his own and someone home most of the time ie retired people who are still active and can give him what he needs.
We don't have a history on Charlies previous home so don't know what he is like around children so we will be looking for the home where he does not have to be around very young children who are still in that stage of grabbing animals and annoying them.
PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL IF YOU DON'T MEET ANY OF THE CRITERIA AND INTERSTATE ADOPTION WILL BE ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS AND SO IF you are interested and meet ALL of the criteria by all means email me, Maree at keetamouse@grapevine.com.au and tell me all about yourself and your life style, your other dogs you have had over the years etc so I can get an idea of the home he may be going to, also if you are outside the ACT so interstate will be on a case by case basis.
Adoption details
To enquire about a dog in foster care please email the foster carer in the first instance (using the contact details listed with the dog's description).
The foster carer needs to know about you, your family, and any other pets, about your lifestyle and accommodation, and about the type of dog you want, so that they can help work out if the dog you have selected is right for you.
For dogs, foster carers will also carry out a 'home check' where we look at fencing and shelter for the dog to make sure they are adequate, and advise on anything that needs to be done to make sure your dog will be safe and comfortable.
