About Kingston *Adopted*
Kingston joined us at Lost Souls Rabbit Refuge after finding himself lost around Lathlain. Luckily for Kingston someone handed him into Pets & Vets Lathlain and he was very well looked after by the Vets and Nurses for a few weeks before he was handed over to our care. Like so many cases, Kingston didn't have a microchip and his owners were never found.
Kingston is one of those one in a million buns where no matter how bad things were for him, he had the determination to pull through and the proof is in his little personality. He is so loving, well handled and such a gentle 'old' soul. He has had it rough, sadly his coat was very mattered and the nurses had to clip him the best they could whilst he was in their care. We had a professional rabbit groomer call by and gave him a good tidy up and re-clipped him all over - His beautiful chocolate coat has started to grow through thick and fast! We suspect he had been bitten several times on the lower nose/lip which has caused some damage to the area but this has healed nicely and does not cause any issues with Kingston eating or drinking. Dr Linda from The Unusual Pet Vets has thoroughly checked the area and it isn't causing any problems.
Kingston is like a hay machine! One minute he has a full tray, then next its gone! He just loves it. He also loves Burgess Mint pellets for his breakfast and loves a wide variety of veg and herbs with some fruit as a treat. He has become addicted to Smooshie Face Treats also, especially Apple Crumbles!
Kingston personality has really come through the last few weeks. He is very calm, gentle and loves his kisses on the cheek! He has spent the last few nights with me on the couch just snuggling in a cuddlesack (Deano Designs) and he seems to like the attention. When he free roams, he loves to explore and chin everything in his path! Even though Kingston has been out on the streets and had a rough start to life, he seems to be a happy bunny too.
We estimate Kingston to be approx 11-12 months old. Yes, he has been desexed plus Vaccinated and microchipped by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Kingston could easily be a single spoilt bunny or eventually be bonded to a desexed female. We are looking for a lovely forever home for Kingston and know the right family is out there for him. Ideally, we would be looking for a family where Kingston would be indoors (pen setup) and be apart of everyday living.
Kingston's adoption fee is $185 which includes his desexing plus vaccination and microchip at The Unusual Pet Vets.
Medical notes
Kingston has been thoroughly vet checked by The Unusual Pet Vets.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view our beautiful rabbits. We love them all and know you will too!
If you would like to know more regarding our rescue or considering adopting one of our precious bunnies, please contact us via phone or email. After our chat, if it sounds like you may be a suitable match we will send you through a application form (step 1).
Once we have received your forms and feel you would be a good fit for our rescue bun/buns, we will arrange a time for you to meet (step 2). On occasions (at our discretion) we may organise a house check to ensure that your setup is safe and secure. If all parties are happy to proceed, an adoption fee is paid and your welcome to take your new family member home on a 2 week trial (step 3). If after or anytime during the trial you are certain your new family member is going nowhere, the decision is made final and we make the adoption official! (step 4). On the other hand, if you have a change of mind or circumstance we ask you to contact us as soon as possible so we can make immediate arrangements for their return to the rescue.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
