About Ibby
IBBY
Samoyed
Female (D)
18 Months
Located : Lane Cove West, NSW
If you’ve been on the ABR page for any length of time over the last 9 months or so I need no introduction, for I’m sure you’ve all been following my journey. If you haven’t - and whilst I don’t wish to dwell upon my past for my future is more important - I do feel some background is in order for you to understand who I was…. who I currently am.
Imagine if you will being born into the world of - and we use this term very loosely in this instance - an ANKC registered breeder. With my overbite and by not conforming to breed standard at best - and worst - my purpose in this world would have likely been that of money maker, pumping out generation after generation.
Knowing I was not “sellable” this lack of attention and affection led to timidity, insecurity and anxiousness around these beings known as humans.
But the Powers That Be had other plans - to cut a very long story short I ended up with an animal welfare agency which in turn led to me joining the ABR family for I needed some help to learn how to dog first.
My journey began.
Now I could sit here and wax lyrical about how far I’ve come but I won’t. Why? Because I will regress in a new environment and until my confidence levels have been re-built I won’t reveal who I am… who I can be under your guidance.
If you have patience, tenacity, the ability to understand that you will get frustrated, perhaps sad at times at my seemingly lack of progress then we should talk. If you understand that everything is on MY terms and timelines with the willingness to follow ABR’s advice to the letter the end reward will be a rather cheeky and spunky personality.
Fair warning you should also be prepared for 3am zoomies and the need to upsize to at least a king size bed.
The bonus is I am extremely dog social and enjoy nothing more than rousing games of bitey face and chasies. In actual fact I’m a bit of charlatan for little timid me has actually worked her way up the pecking order in my foster home…. and they never even noticed. #sorrynotsorryoopsie.
Although at first I would run away I am now in love with the two mini people in my foster home. Instead of hiding I now watch those at the local park not only with great interest, but with a smile on my face. So long as any children in your home are also on board and able to comprehend the above, I'm not adverse to having them underfoot.
Still with me and prepared for all of the above plus remain committed to exposing me to new experiences? Then you know the drill have your people contact mine and we'll take it from there.
I promise in a few months you'll be re-enacting that scene in Wayne's World when they meet Alice Cooper and start chanting "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!".
I'm just that damn good.
