About Chipotle (Chip) *On Hold*
Meet Chip, the newest member of your family!
Chip is:
- An amazingly quick learner; he loves training
- A massive foodie
- Doing great with loose lead training
- Fantastic in the car; he loves it!
- Social! He loves people and visitors, but he's still working on his manners when people come over
- Not a fan of young kids; he needs his space respected
- Great with the cats he’s met
- Not dog park or daycare suitable
- Good with dogs he knows, but he needs ongoing training with introductions to new dogs
- Best with calm, well-mannered dogs; over excitable dogs are too much for Chip
- Still sometimes unsure of new situations so will need ongoing training to build his confidence
- A fan of Bunnings and cafes
- Great at relaxing on his mat when out; it’s his safe zone
- Learning crate training. He still requires work but is improving with daily practice.
- Very focused on his person and willing to please
- Great at the beach. He'll swim out if you’re in the water. We're not sure he enjoys swimming much, but he does it on his own, and it’s fantastic for his leg
- The biggest snuggle bug, especially in the evening
- A pup who had separation issues in his previous home placement, which he’s not had in his current foster home (foster mum has a camera and stalks regularly!), so this will have to be taken into consideration when placing in a new home. It may mean it’s a gradual transition to a new home for Chip, starting with day stays and overnights.
- Improving with ongoing training classes
- The perfect dog for someone who can take him to work with them!

Medical notes
Chipotle suffered an extensive leg fracture and has recently had surgery to attempt to repair it. Should this attempt fail, he may need his leg amputated. This adoption will be supported by the rescue.
Adopters will receive a desexing voucher as Chip needs his growth hormones for as long as possible to ensure the best chance of saving his leg.
