About Broly
Broly is a lovely boy who came to us very timid and a little bit grumpy, but has become outgoing and inquisitive over the weeks. Broly likes to have what we call 'aggressive pats', not because he's aggressive, but because he likes very firm pats! He has been handled mostly by our children (8yo & 6yo) and is very good with them. Sometimes he gives a gentle nip to say 'I don't like being patted there', or 'I want some more cuddles thank you very much' but this is in fact great for the children, because it teaches them to respect his boundaries, and for them to understand what he likes and does not like.
Broly has also had some - at distant - interactions with our dog, and he doesn't seem to be overly fazed by her presence. Broly is a very 'forward' cat, and is not shy about making his needs known to everyone! Once comfortable in his surroundings, Broly is a confident and self-assured cat, who will probably never be a lap cat, but who I think will bond closely with those who give him lots of pats and treats. He will be great in a house with kids, including I think households where there is lots to hubbub keep him interested, even if he may not always choose to participate.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
