About Jet
Jet shouldn’t be considered an ‘old dog’. He is active and spirited. Jet is suitable to a home with dogs, cats, and even rabbits!
Jet is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, heart wormed, and flea-free. He is house trained.
Jet is used to having the company of a dog 24/7, and really struggles without doggy company - he makes that lovely baying noise that Harriers are renowned for! Jet probably would be okay if he had human company 24/7 instead. So we are looking for a home for Jet where he can have canine or human company all of the time.
Jet is excellent with little dogs, even little dogs that are nasty to him! He could potentially be a good companion for a ‘reactive’ small dog who may otherwise be difficult to find a doggy companion for. Jet is okay with larger dogs, too.
Even though Jet loves company, he is not an overly affectionate dog. He’s not the type to join you on the couch for cuddles (but would happily sleep on the couch of a night time, thank-you!).
Jet has lived with cats and rabbits harmoniously before, so is suitable to a home with other pets.
Jet is food orientated and responds well to food-based training. While being in Leema Rescue, Jet has had some training to improve his food manners - but Jet has 8 years of practice in stealing food from counter tops!
Jet was surrendered to Leema Rescue as he bit a child in his household, so we would prefer him to go into a home with no children.
Jet’s adoption fee is $200 which includes a trial period of 14 days.
