About Biscuit
Meet Biscuit, or Bizzy as she is affectionately known. Biscuit was surrendered at a ripe old age of 11 due to a marriage breakdown and unfortunately there was no where for Bizzy to go.
Biscuit is the perfect dog, she runs around the house and then flops on her bed and sleeps for an hour. She loves going for a walk and gets very excited when the lead comes out, even carrying it around trying to walk herself. She loves new people and just wants to say hello to everyone. She ignores other dogs when walking and goes to work every day with her foster mum where she sleeps under the desk all day and doesn’t move a muscle.
We were told that Biscuit doesn’t like other dogs but although she is initially worried about them and doesn’t like face to face contact, she has actually shown herself to be quite reliant on the dogs in her foster home. She is absolutely brilliant being near other dogs and never barks at others on walks, she just doesn’t like face to face contact. Due to her history, we would prefer that anyone applying with another dog had some experience in dog behaviour.
Biscuit is an absolutely gorgeous dog who likes nothing better then curling up next to you on the couch. She loves going out for walks, she does have arthritis but she doesn’t let that slow her down. Bizzy does have separation anxiety so will need a home where she isn’t left alone, she is however very happy to accompany her owner to work and sleep all day. Bizzy does have some health issues to please read the medical information carefully.
Biscuits ideal home is one in which she will be treated as one of the family, always have company, and have no other dogs. Bizzy loves cats and we don’t think older children would be an issue.
Medical notes
Bizzy has a couple of health issues but despite these issues she is happy, friendly and very very loving.
Bizzy has previously had both of her cruciate ligaments in her knees rupture and has had surgeries (one leg required multiple surgeries) for this, she now walks and runs well but does have arthritis so needs to be on a good quality joint diet and occasional pain relief.
Bizzy has separation anxiety so requires a home where she will not be left home alone, she is however very happy to travel to work with her Owner, where she will happily curl up under your desk for the day.
Bizzy also has a growth on her adrenal gland which makes her pre-cushingoid. This means that although she doesn’t require treatment for cushings yet, she will need regular blood tests and ultrasounds throughout her life and may require medications at some stage. Please note that treatment and monitoring for cushings can be expensive.
Bizzy is such a beautiful little girl and her personality definitely makes up for her health issues.
Bizzy is up to date with vaccination, yearly heartworm injection, and 3 monthly flea, tick and intestinal worming prevention. She is desexed, microchipped, has had a dental, has had her spleen removed, has had multiple ultrasounds and blood tests to ensure medications for cushings don’t need to be started yet and she comes with a bag of premium joint food.
