About Siobhan
Oh, hello. My name is Siobhan and I'm a little scared of people at the moment. You see, I'm more of a cat friend than a people friend - Do you have a very friendly cat at home in need of a new friend? Or are you patient enough to take time to bring out the best of a little girl like me who is very frightened of people?
I won't hiss or growl at any big cats you may have, instead I will talk to them in my very cute squeaky shy girl meow and ask them to be my friend. Once I can be friends with them and see them with you I will start to relax a bit more and start to come out of my little hidey holes. I do like being warm, so if you have a heat pack I can snuggle into that will help as well. Just remember, you will need to be patient with me, but I promise to be the best forever cat for the right person who is willing to help me feel safe and loved.
I am extremely shy! I don't like to be touched (I will hiss at you if you try to touch me before I am ready) and will be best suited to a home without young children as I'm easily overwhelmed by stimuli but friendly (non hissy) other housecats should be ok. I like a soothing voice and a lullaby to make me feel safe. Will need a very patient owner who is happy to wait for me to come to you (which may take weeks/months). Are you up for the challenge?
Until I feel comfortable, I will be best in a room on my own without lots of hidey hols but where there is a spot I can feel secure with warm blankets / heat packs and where I can rest. I will get out, stretch and explore in my own time. Don't be surprised if I run away when you come near me for the first few weeks! I do like warm roast chicken, tinned tuna in springwater and laser light toys.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
