About Nala (& Simba)
1) Generally - ''Young, small, playful, friendly - good with other dogs and kids. Devoted to each other and also to their owners.''
- Good with Other Dogs
- Not Good With Cats
- Good with Kids + 12 yrs and only if gentle and calm
- Size Simba 9.5 kgs Nala 5 kgs
2) Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Small, playful, friendly - good with other dogs and kids. Devoted to each other and also to their owners.
3) Ideal Owner
These adorable pups will suit singles or couples looking for furry, affectionate companions to share fun and good times with.
While they prefer the company of people they can cope alone. We will consider full time workers (9am-5pm) as long as the dogs will be a central focus when people are home - but preference will be given to folks home more often than not. Dogs are here for a short time but a good time so why should they have to compromise?
The dogs are devoted to each other and cannot be separated.
They will need time to settle in and patience while they continue their toilet training so they may not suit novice dog owners - but the rewards will be immeasurable.
They will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity to each other with small outside areas e.g. villas, units, apartment complexes, terrace houses, strata complexes etc.
As Simba and Nala are people orientated they need to be part of family activities.
They will not suit homes with residents that are:
- very young, frail, elderly,
- renters or
- time poor.
4) Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Will alert to something strange but are not currently nuisance barkers as can be commanded to stop.
Simba and Nala will suit any of the following:
- someone home more often than not.
- part time workers.
- empty nesters.
- active retirees.
- full time workers (9am-5pm) as long as they are a central focus when folks are home and have each other.
5) Exercise Requirements
Medium - playful and moderately active. They enjoy a daily walk or playtime at home.
6) When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs they are ok unless distracted.
7) When OFF a lead ...
Never been off the lead.
8) Type of Yard Required
Medium to large interesting and secure.
Ok with shoulder height fencing.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS (simple and easy)
1. Read the dog's detailed profile thoroughly - for you to self screen
2. The Expression of Interest (EOI) form MUST be completed prior to a meet and greet.
https://www.dogadoption.org.au/expression-of-interest---adoption.html
3. Speak to the carer/owner directly for more detailed info to determine if there are any 'deal breakers' - designed to save time and avoid falsely raising hopes.
4. 'Meet & Greet' - you travel to where the dog is. If you have a current dog it must meet too. We strongly recommend all members of the family attend. Both parties may wish to report their thoughts to each other but MUST update Dog Adoption directly too.
5. The dog MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS have been made e.g. travelling more then 2 hrs round trip. In this case we need a minimum of 2 days notice. The adoption agreement and payment must be made before collection of the dog.
6. Normally, both parties have a think about the meeting, and if they wish to proceed, the adoption is completed after the adoption agreement, payment and screening is finalised.
7. A 2 week cooling off period commences once the dog arrives.
