What a dear little honey bear, playful and sweet; our Fozzie Bear will delight you with his muppet like antics. Such a gorgeous, cuddly lap dog, both loyal and gentle, you will fall in love with him immediately; how could you not?
Fozzie Bear loves the car, walks beautifully on or off leash, will happily fetch his toy doggy or sleep in your lap. He is the perfect little gentleman and makes a mannerly house dog.
He is a fantastic watch dog and takes his job very seriously, preferring to sit on his regal throne by the door, guarding his palace of an afternoon. Fozzie has a deep bark, but will stop as soon as you thank him and ask him nicely to be quiet. Lhasa Apsos are known as the ‘Little Lion Dog’, and he is certainly very brave and dignified!
Fozzie Bear is a big boy with a very long back but only has short legs. He must never be allowed to jump down off beds, furniture or out of cars. Stairs are not great for this boy but he is fine with just a few. He is toilet trained and uses a doggy door.
Because his hair does shed and he will grow a long double coat, regular brushing and grooming is a must. Fozzie is on Apoquel tablets for his skin allergy which controls his condition perfectly, we believe that Apoquel will be long term for Fozzie. He also suffers from dry eyes which is easily managed with Tacrolimus daily, it is an amazing little eye drop that will keep his eyes nice and moist and it too will be long term.
Fozzie Bear would be fine as an only dog if his family are home more often than not. Ideally, another friendly dog would be nice for him, as he has just started playing with his foster brother. Older children would be best for this divine boy, as he likes to be treated with respect. Fozzie is a house dog, needing 24/7 indoor access to his home and family.
Fozzie Bear comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $495. Fozzie Bear is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Fozzie Bead please email Denise
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs please email and tell us all about your family, other pets, lifestyle, accommodation and anything else relevant to your enquiry, this information helps us to know if the dog you are enquiring about will suit your family. As all of our rescue dogs are in foster care in private homes we know what our dogs want and need to keep them happy when they are adopted by their new family. Home visits are done to check fencing, meet family members and other animals in the home. Once the home check is complete you are welcome to visit the dog in his foster home and all going well the dog will go on a two week trial with your family. We are always happy to extend the trial period if necessary. If for any reason at any time the adoption fails please contact us immediately, we will always take our dogs back into care
