Maroush was surrendered to the RSPCA and as he was not doing well in a kennel situation DAP were asked to take him. Maroush has been living with his foster carer for approximately 3 weeks, he is a happy joyful dog who loves playing with his human, toys and the other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys going out for a walk with his foster sister Molly and is no trouble at all walking along beautifully. Maroush is not suited to a home where there are cats or other pocket pets, he will bark and chase them. He lives with other dogs and gets along with them, he does not need another dog in his new home providing he has human companions around who don’t go to work full time. He would become bored, lonely and may bark if left for hours on his own.
Maroush would like to go out on a walk every day, he is an extremely good eater and sleeper not making a sound during the night. He does love running around in the garden sniffing everything or just laying in the sun. Maroush is house trained providing he has easy access to the garden. Maroush has a beautiful coat that will require ongoing grooming and brushing.
Maroush has idiopathic epilepsy, he is on an anti-seizure medication called Pexion twice daily and his seizures are almost completely under control. Since being in his foster home he has only had one seizure which his carer believes was as a result of over excitement when seeing her cat. Maroush is a house dog and must have access via a doggie door or similar at all times.
Maroush comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $495. Maroush is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Maroush please email Denise
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs please email and tell us all about your family, other pets, lifestyle, accommodation and anything else relevant to your enquiry, this information helps us to know if the dog you are enquiring about will suit your family. As all of our rescue dogs are in foster care in private homes we know what our dogs want and need to keep them happy when they are adopted by their new family. Home visits are done to check fencing, meet family members and other animals in the home. Once the home check is complete you are welcome to visit the dog in his foster home and all going well the dog will go on a two week trial with your family. We are always happy to extend the trial period if necessary. If for any reason at any time the adoption fails please contact us immediately, we will always take our dogs back into care
