About Levi
1) Generally
- Good with Other Dogs
- Recommend a Home Without Cats
- Good with Kids + 12 yrs due size
-Toilet Traine
- Size 35 kgs
2) Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Like most staffys, Levi is a loyal, loving, stable and trustworthy companion.
This handsome staffy is oozing love and full of life. He loves life and enjoys exploring and playing. When finished he will snuggle up and sleep on you!
This loveable character is toned and strong, loves to lick you (kisses) and thrives on attention. He loves to play - his enthusiasm sometimes rough but not mean.
Has lived with cats but not in the last 3 months. We recommend a home without cats.
Levi is perceptive, smart and a 'sensitive new age guy.'' He looks tough but is really a softie - scared of beeping smoke alarms and storms, needing a cuddle for reassurance.
3) Ideal Owner
Active singles or couples who have plenty of time and love to share with a happy, healthy staffy.
Another friendly dog would be ok but Levi would prefer to be the only dog so he can have all the attention.
He prefers company but can cope alone. Levi loves intimacy.
He will not suit homes where people live in very close proximity to each other with small outside areas e.g. villas, units, apartment complexes, terrace houses, strata complexes etc.
As Levi is people orientated he needs to be part of family activities.
He will not suit homes with residents that are:
- very young, frail, elderly,
- renters or
- time poor.
4) Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Will alert to something strange but is not currently a nuisance barker.
Levi will suit any of the following:
- someone home more often than not.
- someone that works from home.
- part time workers as long as someone is home more often than not.
- empty nesters.
- active retirees.
Levi would prefer to be the only permanent dog so he can have all your attention.
5) Exercise Requirements
Medium to High. Levi likes a good run. "Why walk when you can run and play games?" is his motto. Levi needs to go to the park to play with other dogs so he can burn off pent up energy. He'll let you know it is time for a walk by throwing his bed around but is not destructive - unless it's a toy.... his toys don't stand a chance!
6) When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs Levi starts off pulling but settles - and he can be strong.
7) When OFF a lead ...
Levi will eventually see that you are too far away and find his way to you, but he will definitely go on an adventure!
8) Type of Yard Required
Medium to large interesting and secure.
May take advantage of an open gate and wander off but does not usually try and escape.
Ok with shoulder height fencing.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS (simple and easy)
1. Read the dog's detailed profile thoroughly - for you to self screen
2. The Expression of Interest (EOI) form MUST be completed prior to a meet and greet.
https://www.dogadoption.org.au/expression-of-interest---adoption.html
3. Speak to the carer/owner directly for more detailed info to determine if there are any 'deal breakers' - designed to save time and avoid falsely raising hopes.
4. 'Meet & Greet' - you travel to where the dog is. If you have a current dog it must meet too. We strongly recommend all members of the family attend. Both parties may wish to report their thoughts to each other but MUST update Dog Adoption directly too.
5. The dog MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS have been made e.g. travelling more then 2 hrs round trip. In this case we need a minimum of 2 days notice. The adoption agreement and payment must be made before collection of the dog.
6. Normally, both parties have a think about the meeting, and if they wish to proceed, the adoption is completed after the adoption agreement, payment and screening is finalised.
7. A 2 week cooling off period commences once the dog arrives.

Folks who complete EOIs have a higher priority then general enquiries - due to a lack of resources. Your info is protected under Privacy Legislation.
