About Goofy
This is what our dog trainer says about Goofy: "Lovely dog. A delight. Copes with noise and movement but worries when a lot is happening. Sweet dog engages well with people. Highly trainable, can sit and learnt drop in one go. Good for obedience work." Goofy was at a vet for euthanasia at 5 months after he fractured his leg. We had his leg repaired by a specialist surgeon. Goofy is child friendly but best with 10+yo that know not to overwhelm the dog. He is non-reactive walking past other dogs and cats. He enjoys pats, cuddlesand belly rubs. He sits on command. Volunteers say "Goofy pulled on lead on the way up and then plonked himself down and wouldnt get up. He enjoyed laying in the grass cuddling and playing. Very sweet dog" Was goofy and funny! Lovely dog”, “He playfully nibbled on me and my kid once, but stopped it immediately when asked to”, “Very affectionate, enjoyed cuddles, just didn’t want to walk today” He has a short coat and we expect him to grow to at least 30kg.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Part Time Worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time.
Good with Kids: Shown to be good with kids in the controlled environment of the Shelter.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, microchipped, heartworm-free and with C5 vaccinations.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
