About Pineapple
Can you give Pineapple a loving forever home?
Once Pineapple feels safe in a space, and gets to know people, he is a very affectionate kitten. He loves to be patted, and will give humans "kisses" (rubbing his nose onto theirs). He's fine with being picked up for short cuddles, and will jump onto human's laps for a cuddle, but he's so lively and playful that he wriggles around a lot and turns it into a game! With people he trusts, Pineapple is a chatty kitten and makes cute chirpy noises.
Pineapple loves his toys, especially noisy toys and ping-pong balls. For a kitten of his age, he's good at playing gently with human fingers. He has lots of energy and enjoys climbing scratching posts
However Pineapple is very scared of new people and new situations. He will need a patient adoptive family who understand there will be a lot of hissing at first! There will still be occasional hissing when something frightens him, even after he settles. Pineapple isn't aggressive, he just pretends to be ferocious when he's scared. It will be very important to keep Pineapple confined to one room until he feels safe in that room and trusts his new family. This may take three or four weeks. If Pineapple is allowed to roam the whole house before he feels safe, he will be very scared and hide in the smallest place he can find.
Pineapple adores other cats. He is very friendly and enthusiastic with the resident cat in his foster home, and would be happy in a forever home with cats. It's unknown if he likes dogs or young children. With boisterous dogs or children he might take longer to fully settle in.
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
