About Jacob
Jacob is a typical lovable staffy boy. He is strong but ever so affectionate. Jacob makes those gurgly staffy sounds walking past other dogs and he is strong on lead. He walks at a good pace on loose lead once he is over his initial nervousness. He enjoys belly rubs, pats and cuddles. Volunteers say "Timid to start. Did not want to walk initially. With encouragement, was fine after a good walk." "Reactive to other dogs, relaxed when sat down with him and gave him treats. This distracted him from the other dogs and made pulling and barking much less. Gorgeous boy, very calm as long as no other dogs around." “Very fearful of bus and reactive to other dogs but also moments of joy with running and jogging”, “Good dog but aggressive towards other dogs”. Jacob does love his humans and does not want to be left for any length of time. He has a smooth coat and weighs 26kg.
Suit Home Based Worker or Doggie Pal: Unable to cope alone and has shown signs of separation anxiety. Needs human company or other dog pals.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
