About Sweetie
I am here at Cat Haven because my owner became too busy with work and could no longer had time to care for me. I think I deserve a family who will appreciate me and all of the wonderful things I have to offer. I'd make a wonderful and cosy snuggle companion, and would love nothing more than a kind, loving and gentle human soul to cuddle up with. Ask to speak to a staff member and see how sweet and beautiful I really am!
Did you know that the first known cat to have a name lived around 1400 BC and was called Nedjem which means "Sweetie"? That's my name too although I'm only 12 years old and not 3419 (or am I? - my foster parents have postulated that I am a TimeCat and have actually been around for eons).
I am a big fan of food. I tend to see my bowl as half empty and like to tell you about it. As a foodie, I particularly enjoy mince, all varieties of cheese, and chicken. My favourite morning pastime is lying on my back with legs akimbo in a shaft of sunlight and stretching luxuriously as you approach to show off my curves. After a hearty meal, with my energy restored, I enjoy a good game of chase and kill the shoelace. I love a good cuddle and will climb atop you even when we have just met. I am especially talented at seeking out and putting my entire weight through 4 small paws on your full bladder. My foster parents have been looking after me because the lovely people at the Cat Haven were worried about my right eye. I like to think it is my dinosaur eye. It doesn't really bother me - just makes me extra vicious when hunting prey (see aforementioned shoelace game). Sometimes I get a little overexcited and use my claws but when reminded of my manners, am perfectly pleasant again. Would you be willing to put me up for the rest of my current regeneration before I go off traveling space and time again?
Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
