About Lewis
microchip no:982009106095851
Introducing lovely 6 years old Lewis. He has been with his foster carer for about a month and settled in well with the family and foster sister. Lewis is beautifully house trained, walks well on a leash and listens attentively. He travels well in cars. He is good at waiting outside shops if he can see his foster mother inside. He is so grateful for a pat or a brush. Lewis sleeps well on his bed without the need for a crate.
He is an alpha male and likes to think he is top dog so it would suit Lewis to be either the only dog in the house or if there is another dog that dog would need to be fairly easy going.
Lewis likes to say hello enthusiastically to everyone he meets on his walks. He does the same to dogs he meets with the same effect so he is mostly kept on leash. Lewis loves his walks. He only needs a gentle walk once a day for 30-60 minutes.
His only health issue is arthritis in his spine and mild hip dysplasia. Similar to people with arthritis, he sometimes has trouble getting out of bed in the morning but once he is up there is no stopping him. To manage his arthritis, Lewis is on a daily anti-inflammatory tablet and has had a course of Pentosan (Cartrophen) injections.
Lewis is not a demanding dog, he just wants someone to love. He is an excellent companion dog and would be at your side always.
Lewis is located in Sydney NSW and is available for adoption. Lewis comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and intestinal worm treated with a ton of love and a gorgeous smile for the right family for a re-homing fee of $450.

Adoption details
Please go to the website http://www.rescuealabrador.com/
to submit an adoption application. Please click on the adopt a dog link on the left hand side of the screen and complete the questions if you are interested in adopting aLabrador.
We will not discuss specific dogs with you until you have completed this questionnaire as this allows us to establish which dogs are potential matches for your lifestyle.
Once we have found a suitable match to your family, we will allow you to contact the appropriate foster carer who will discuss the dog in more detail with you.
Once you are both satisfied that this is a good match you will be able to meet the Lab. If all goes well, you will be able to take the dog on a 2 week trial. You will complete the adoption paperwork and pay the adoption fee at this stage.
At the end of the 2 week trial you will be able to adopt the Lab and we will submit the microchip transfer to the council.
