About AJ
AJ is an amazing sweet boy who just needs someone to love him and give him patience and some gentleness. AJ was a long term resident at a pound with no interest. He has scars on his face and ears and torn left ear. AJ is a very gentle boy who has not been walked on lead before coming to us. With volunteers he walked reluctantly at first then walks hesitantly, a little on guard. He is a little scared of vehicles at first but improves over time. He does not take treats and is worried about sudden hand movements. Volunteers say "AJ went for a good long walk. Sometimes timid, jumped at a few sudden noises but was lovely to see a bit of his personality and tail wagging!", "Lovely gentle boy, likes to walk fast." "A pleasure to walk" “Very timid. Eventually walked, had a long walk in the end. AJ grew in confidence and trust in me very quickly”, “Beautiful shy boy. Scared of other people and cars. Enjoyed his walk/jog”, “Very nervous with male walker, even nervous taking treats”, “Didn’t warm up to me, slightly scared of cars also” He has a short coat and weighs 33.7kg.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
