Totally scrumptious both in looks and personality, Leia is a beautiful brindle pug mix with so much love to give.
Leia longs to be with her humans as much as physically possible, when she’s left alone she turns Houdini and does her best to find someone to keep her company. In her current home her mum works full time and unfortunately Leia is just not suited to being left for long periods, so we are on the search for a family home more often than not so she can relax and just enjoy life.
Friendly with dogs and cats, Leia is comfortable to share the love around, she’s doesn’t mind a wander at the park but is not overly energetic and would suit a retired family that is looking for a devoted dog to call their own.
Leia is in good health although in the past has had a few mammary tumours removed and any suspicious lumps will need to be checked by a vet and removed promptly. She has a shedding coat that is fairly low maintenance
Access inside is a must at all times, this is what Leia is use to and prefers, when her family have to leave her unattended, we would prefer her to be left inside with no access to outside to avoid her going walk about, even with secure fencing Leia is an experienced escape artist.
In summary, Leia’s ideal home is one where she will be not left for more than a few hours at a time, another dog is preferred but not essential, someone with pug experience would be ideal and a family who’s circumstances are unlikely to change would be best.
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs please email and tell us all about your family, other pets, lifestyle, accommodation and anything else relevant to your enquiry, this information helps us to know if the dog you are enquiring about will suit your family. As all of our rescue dogs are in foster care in private homes we know what our dogs want and need to keep them happy when they are adopted by their new family. Home visits are done to check fencing, meet family members and other animals in the home. Once the home check is complete you are welcome to visit the dog in his foster home and all going well the dog will go on a two week trial with your family. We are always happy to extend the trial period if necessary. If for any reason at any time the adoption fails please contact us immediately, we will always take our dogs back into care
