About Jasper
Jasper is a Russian Blue cross with beautiful soft amber eyes. Small for his age, estimated to be more than two years and seemingly coming from no fixed abode, Jasper was a stray Injured from fighting, starving and being fed leftovers and bread by a well meaning person trying to help him.
When Jasper came in to Catmint Cottage he had an abscess from fighting, was underweight and undernourished and he was also undesexed :)
For such a small boy I can't imagine how he would have fought off the bigger boys for any of his perceived rights. His abscess was treated, he was vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV and neutered.
When he first arrived he was quite shy but soon warmed up to having a full belly and protection from the elements. After quarantine he was integrated in to the enclosure with other cats.
Personality wise Jasper is serious, shy and affectionate all rolled into one. His first response is to hide. If we take no notice of him he saunters past us to question why we are not fascinated with wanting to pat him. He lies down in full view, rolling on to his back to show his white belly.
He can be picked up and nursed without a problem. In our opinion Jasper is only just beginning to come in to his own and his full development will happen with the right person.
Medical notes
Tested for FIV/FeLV and negative. Had followup test and still negative.
