About Sprinkles | Blue Staffy With Papers
Blue English Staffy - With Certified Pedigree Paperwork
Good with Other Dogs
Good with Cats
Good with Kids + 7 yrs
Toilet Trained
Size 17 kgs
Likes, Dislikes, Fears, Endearments and Quirks
Sprinkles dislikes being by herself or being left outside if others are inside. However, Sprinkles is still only young and SA usually improves with the right owner and environment.
Sprinkles has been very well looked after. She is friendly, playful and loves everyone - kids, dogs and cats alike. She is good on and off the lead, toilet trained and incredibly warm.
A bright, happy and adorable young girl looking for a new start.
Ideal Owner
Sprinkles is social, loyal, eager to please, warm and affectionate. She is good with kids, dogs, cats and toilet trained. She is good on and off the lead. Her only vice is that she suffers from separation anxiety (SA). Her new owner will need to manage this and work on strategies to reduce her anxiety over time.
She needs a firm but kind owner who will cherish and spoil her without mollycoddling or fussing over her.
She currently needs a lot of attention and will make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a little shadow.
Sprinkles should be fine with another friendly permanent dog in the home however, this is not a solution to her SA.
As Sprinkles is people orientated she needs to be part of family activities.
She will not suit homes with residents that are very young, frail, elderly, novice dog owners, renters or time poor.
Tolerance to Being Alone During the Day
Sprinkles is being rehomed because her young family cannot manage her SA. Currently when left alone she starts to bark which turns into whining.
Sprinkles will suit any of the following:
- someone home more often than not,
- stay at home parent,
- someone that works from home,
- part time workers,
- active retirees.
Type of Yard Required
Medium to large interesting and secure. Requires 6' (1.8 meter) high colour bond type fencing without foot holds to climb e.g. trellis, wire etc.. Wood panelled fencing is not secure enough. At the moment she tends to chew wooden things when alone e.g kids toys.
Exercise Requirements
Medium - playful and moderately active. Needs a daily walk.
When ON a lead ...
Like most dogs she starts off pulling but settles.
When OFF a lead ...
Stays close by and comes when called.
Located North Curl Curl NSW 2099. Applicants within driving distance.

______________________________________
We strongly recommend you read the profile carefully where everything we know about the dog/s is outlined.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) https://www.dogadoption.org.au/expression-of-interest---adoption.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner(s). It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog(s).
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we offer a 2 week cooling off period but do not usually allow trials. See here for the difference https://www.dogadoption.org.au/can-my-dogs-new-owner-have-a-trial-period-before-deciding-to-adopt.html
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
