On Hold
Leroy is such a loving and cuddly boy who is desperate to be part of a loving family and be involved in daily family activities. He has some basic obedience and can 'sit' 'drop' and 'shake paws'. His recall is good with no distractions around. He walks well on a lead with the help of a check chain aid, loves being out and about and gets very excited with all the new things to take in on his walks. He is best suited to being the only pet. He is reactive to small animals and gets over excited upon sighting them, especially when they are running.
Leroy has had limited interaction with other dogs in his short life and is unsure on how to meet and react to them. He gets quite excited wanting to play with new friends, but due to his size can be a bit much for smaller dogs. Leroy needs a family of adults, or with older children or teenagers. His new family must be willing to include him in their family life and continue with obedience training and socialising him, so he becomes well adjusted in the doggie world. Leroy is the size of a Labrador and is a strong dog, so he will need an experienced owner capable of handling his strength.
