About Duke
INTERSTATEADOPTION WILL BE ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS.
DUKE IS A PRIVATE ADOPTION PLEASE CALL DAMON 0432 848 860 OR Damon_m@live.com.au
Duke is a 4 year old Border Collie and has lots of energy and loves his walks, loves chasing after balls, but is quite content with company.
Duke is naturally quite obedient, comes when called, but does like to walk two to three meters ahead of you when going for a walk, so doesn’t love walking on a short lead. He has lived with another small dog for most of his life, and socialises well with other dogs he is familiar with, he is good with cats, but is nervous and protective around stranger dogs, and especially so if they are aggressive or agitated.
Duke is looking for a home that is committed to keeping up with his energy levels, a home where the family are active and will cater to his needs, another dog as a companion when the humans are away during the day, he cannot be an only dog in a suburban backyard with nothing to do, he is after all a working dog, also a family who have had Border Collies before and know the breed.
CONTACT Damon 0432 848 860 Damon_m@live.com.au we are asking for a $100 donation which will go to Canberra Pooch Rescue CPR
Adoption details
To enquire about a dog in foster care please email the foster carer in the first instance (using the contact details listed with the dog's description).
The foster carer needs to know about you, your family, and any other pets, about your lifestyle and accommodation, and about the type of dog you want, so that they can help work out if the dog you have selected is right for you.
For dogs, foster carers will also carry out a 'home check' where we look at fencing and shelter for the dog to make sure they are adequate, and advise on anything that needs to be done to make sure your dog will be safe and comfortable.
