About Evie (& Archie) | Can Separate
See this adorable pair in their Movie https://youtu.be/hliBbeab0Tg
May consider separating them. Archie (darker one) is like a big puppy, active and needs more exercise. Evie is more calm and mature.
Generally.
Everyone that meeds Archie and Evie fall in love with them. Archie has a more lazy, dopey nature and Evie is gentle and soft. They love dinner time, going to the beach and juicy bones.
As they can sometimes be a handful when walking, their new owner will need to commit to some training and be firm but kind.
Evie will shower you with soft kisses and cuddles and is gentle if hand fed. Archie is laid back, extremely loyal and will happily eat anything he is given.
Ideal home.
The dogs would love acreage or a large secure interesting yard.
Archie and Evie will thrive in a home where they are welcome to be involved with family activities. They would prefer a home with a stay at home parent, active retirees or people that work from home but will cope if you work full time.
They will not suit homes where residents are very young, frail, elderly, renters or time poor.
Other dogs?
Archie - yes. Evie yes with dogs she knows but may become alert to a dog in the distance and sometimes reacts to strange dogs that come close.
Cats?
No as Archie is ok but Evie is not.
Kids?
Yes they like kids however, we recommend any kids be teenagers or older and only if gentle and calm around dogs. The dogs get excited sometimes and jump up.

26 & 34 kgs
Exercise requirements?
Evie - High - will run and run and play - cannot miss a daily outing.
Archie - Medium - playful and moderately active.
How are these dogs on a lead?
Like most dogs they start off pulling but settle and obey commands.
How are these dogs off a lead?
They both generally come when called unless another dog distracts them.
Escape artist?
No however, they may wander off if a gate or door is inadvertently left open.
Nuisance barker?
They will alert you to something strange. They currently bark a little if alone for long periods but this should improve with adequate exercise and attention.
Destructive?
No
Toilet trained?

______________________________________
We strongly recommend you read the profile carefully where everything we know about the dog/s is outlined.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) https://www.dogadoption.org.au/expression-of-interest---adoption.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner(s). It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog(s).
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we offer a 2 week cooling off period but do not usually allow trials. See here for the difference https://www.dogadoption.org.au/can-my-dogs-new-owner-have-a-trial-period-before-deciding-to-adopt.html
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
