About Rocky
Rocky was living with an elderly woman in a very remote part of the NT who had too many pups and dogs to care for.
He went into foster care and had lots of contact with people including children of various ages. Rocky is a great big baby with humans adoring giving and receiving affection.
Rocky loves children but due to his size and puppy behaviour we feel he is best of with children from at least 10yrs of age.
We have no idea of his breed and he will be a solid medium to large dog depending on your idea of size. Rocky is almost 18 mths and of an unknown breed as is the case with all the dogs we rehome.
He has proved to be good with young puppies and respects older dogs who put him in his place. However, he would like to be the Alpha dog so needs an owner who has experience with this kind of behaviour and is prepared to teach him that he is not in charge.
We don't know what contact he has had with cats.
Rocky is desexed, chipped, vaccinated, parasite treated and in good health.
Adoption details
Who makes up your family including ages of children?
If you do not own your home do you have written permission for a dog?
Have you had a dog before and when?
How long would the dog be alone for each day and during these times how would you prevent pup from becoming lonely and bored? (leaving a young pup alone with only toys is not suitable)
Where will the dog sleep at night?
Please add any information that indicates you understand the needs and behaviors of dogs, especially when young.
Please only inquire when you are ready to take a pup home at the time of the "meet and greet" e.g. have puppy proofed your home, purchased everything you need and all decision-makers are present.
(Please note some funding is available to assist with flying larger adult dogs to homes interstate)
Thank you
