About Abbie
Abbie has a kind and very sweet personality and just ADORES being the centre of attention! Loves to have human companionship and loves getting pats even more. She hates it when you stop and will keep hitting you with her paw until you resume. She LOOOOOVES a good scratch under her belly! With the few nights she has been under foster, she had made herself right at home. First night she sprawled across the floor and even fell asleep on back with her legs straight up in there as if she just dont care!
Abbie came from death row so it's clear she wasnt shown much attention. She will need some training regarding how to sit but her foster mumma is already on it! She is a smart quick learner so this isnt taking her long at all! Because she loves humans, she will jump up when she first meets you or if you stop patting her (sign of her wanting more attention I think!) However wants she knows she is in her forever home, she will stop trying to impress everyone and have some more lady like manners!! It wouldn’t take her long to figure these things out, she already knows what outside is and will go out when told.
She walks well on the lead and doesn’t pull or chase cars like some border collies.
She Is children friendly which makes her an ideal family girl! . So far with other dogs she has been great. She always wants to play chase even if the other one isn’t interested.
At night She sleeps downstairs and will whine when first put to bed but once the lights turn off she is quiet and sleeps all night like the good girl she is. As yet, she hasn’t barked at night and haven’t heard a sound from her until the morning when everyone else in the house wakes up.
But if you are looking for a dog that adores human contact, will snuggle up close to you, good with children and on the lead, Abbie is your girl!
