About Mini A
Every day with this girl is a new adventure. An adventure that requires creativity, time and love for a dog who will not only match this but return it ten fold.
Dubbed ‘Mini A’ for the resemblance to her foster carers own dog, this little girl has met so many families who then just disappear off the face of the earth after they’ve left! This dog is, hands down, one of the best dogs who have come through foster care. Little Mini/Minnie/Little A (nicknames go on and on and on!) is so well behaved and switched on that she will so quickly adjust to her new home that it would almost be as if she had been there for well.. forever!
Medically we have no obvious health issues and are up to date with vaccinations and flea, worm, heartworm and tick medications. We’re a tiny girl who has an extra long (adorable!) tail.
She can sit, stay, wait, drop, shake and roll over. She knows what ‘leave it’, ‘drop it’, ‘no’ and ‘off’ means almost before you say it. She’s crate trained but much more prefers to cuddle in b e with you. She will ‘go wee’ on command and is 99.99% house trained. What’s most amazing is that this little girl does have an ‘off’ button - so she would be okay in a family home provided she was challenged both mentally and physically EVERY single day. This fun little girl would be a great companion for someone who runs because she too can certainly run for miles on end!
Like most dogs of her breed we do have a bit of ball obsession but we can be distracted and do know how to play like other dogs. We keep the balls for one park, playtime with other dogs for our other adventures. She’s fantastic both on and off lead and really wants nothing more than to be your best friend. Her recall - it’s fantastic. This dog.. she’s amazing.
Every day is full of new adventure be it playing with a new friend, taking another car trip, learning a new trick or just having fun at home. She’s fantastic in the car and is able to be left alone while you run into the shops. She’s also great at home alone but always is left with something to do. She isn’t a barker but would defend her new family if it were ever needed, she’s that loyal.
Mini A has lots of friends ranging from 100g kittens to 60kg mastiffs who she gets on well with. We have met small birds and chickens and horses and don’t seem too bothered or overly focussed. She likes to keep up with her working dog friends when running around so if you have another dog they’ll need to be well and truly okay with having a dog who will want them to play. She is respectful of other dogs space and picks up on their body language quickly so provided your dog was comfortable with the energy of a puppy it would all be okay! She’s also great with cats - she’s already seen her first litter (she helped raise them!) go off to their new homes. She does like to snuggle and clean her feline friends so would like one who wanted to be with her!
The ideal home for this perfect dog (apart from her carers!) would be one where she can sleep inside and have indoor/outdoor access. One where her owner is either around or can take her out twice daily for new adventures - be it hiking, jogging or trips to the beach (she LOVES swimming. Waves? Ha, not afraid of those!). If kids are in the home then ideally older ones as they can then be involved in her ongoing training. A dog sport would be so perfect for her and she would thrive with the challenge. She travels well in the car so if you’re looking for a new best mate to go with then this may just be the dog for you too! We think she would do great with another working breed dog for company (not just left in the back yard!) or with a feline friend. Of course there are always exceptions to this - so please do apply if your situation is different!
With no fears or anxieties and a love for everyone and life, this little girl has her entire life ahead of her and is just waiting for the right family to take her home.
