About Foxy ~ Pomeranian x Foxy (on trial 17/5/18)
Introducing Foxy, a nearly 13 year old Pomeranian cross Foxy (we think).
Foxy came into Dog Rescue Newcastle care as her owner was no longer able to care for her. Foxy is a gorgeous, friendly and devoted little girl. She behaves like a girl half her age and we are continually surprised that she is 12 years old. Foxy has been well loved and continues to be a loving and very happy girl.
Foxy gets on well with all kids and adults but can get excited and will try to lick faces. This could be a little overwhelming for little children. She is happy to be around other dogs but for some unknown reason, some dogs just don’t take to her. She also doesn’t back down but will have a standoff. Since the time I have had her she has never been dog aggressive with my other 6 dogs but will let it be known if she is not happy by a few barks.
She loves walks and also loves to run around with a toy in her mouth. She is an energetic little soul and would prefer spending time with humans rather than doggy friends. She has also discovered how comfy human beds can be and unfortunately has become accustomed to this night time routine.
Foxy would make a fantastic companion dog. I believe she would be better suited to an older person or couple, just so that she can devote her entire self to them. She likes to know where you are at all times and will actively accompany you wherever you. She loves car rides. She also loves food and does not appear to be fussy in any way. She particularly likes a bone which she repeatedly will try to sneak into the house, no matter how many times you try to throw it back out.
Foxy is a fantastic little girl and will make anybody a beautiful, loving and devoted little mate.
For more information or to meet Foxy, please contact her foster carer Lea on 0400931061 or leaparker4@optusnet.com.au Foxy is in foster care in Cardiff, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
