About Lexi
If ever a dog deserves a kind life, it certainly is Lexi.
Lexi was a greyhound that had been given away by her trainer to, as it turned out, an unsuitable owner who ultimately requested Gippsland Greyhounds for assistance in rehoming the dog. Arrangements were made to meet at his household however on arrival, he was not present and the poor dog was locked up in the laundry without food and water. When contact was made, he indicated that he might not be back for a day or so. Knowing that the dog could not be left in this situation, a call was made to the police and with “gentle persuasion” the owner returned home and surrendered the dog.
What presented us was a seriously starved shy little girl weighing just over 19 Kg but a subsequent health check indicated she was in good health.
Move forward three weeks, living in a loving caring environment, Lexi has gained 7Kg, her coat is smooth and shiny, is happily playing with her foster playmate greyhound and is much adored by her foster carer mum and her two children. It’s a shame that she is missing her tail because she can certainly show her glee by vigourously wagging her tail.
So if you feel that you could give this little girl the life she should have, then give her a go.
LEXI IS NOT CAT TOLERANT
