About Zack
Zac is a confident happy dog who can bite with no warning. He would only suit a handler who has done a lot of dog handling and training. We have not seen warning signs before Zac bites. 99% of the time he is a happy friendly dog. He walks nicely on loose lead, ignoring cars and dogs. He has lots of energy and likes to jog and run. He enjoys lots of attention and cuddles. He sits on command. He has a short coat and weighs a chunky 8.1kg.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
Unfortunately, some rescue dogs have been physically abused, neglected and left traumatised. These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitating traumatised dogs with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Adult Home: Nervous or not tolerant of children. And/or too high a level of excitability for children to control.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
