About Stella
Stella is a gorgeous smoke tabby kitten. She is outgoing, interested in everything you do and quite affectionate. Her coat is smooth like velvet and she is bursting with good health!
Stella was the mini-me of her mother and they lived together until the first half of June when her mum was adopted. Stella would love to have other animals for company and to play with as she grew up with several cats & kittens and two cat-savvy dogs, but she should also be good to go with a family who will spend a lot of time with her.
When she moved to the cattery with her mum she was more reserved but now on her own she’s turned out loving, playful and full of confidence. She loves attention! She also loves other cats and plays paws with the cats next door. She’s turned back into a little sweetheart. She would be a great addition to a loving family.
Stella is looking for a NEW FOSTER CARER as she's been in the cattery long enough and needs to get back into a family home.
It's worth describing her coat as it's so unusual ... a dark smoke grey, but when you part her fur you see the silver-white underneath.
Stella comes with a little added bonus: 2 days free boarding at Happy Cats Cattery in Carabooda with any stay of 7 days or over.
For her safety and your own peace of mind Stella needs to be an indoor-only cat, although a secure cat enclosure would be a wonderful bonus for her. But an enriched household (with cat towers, scratchers & plenty of toys), some good window seats & views of outside perhaps with a screen door or window to look through & sniff the breeze, and lots of attention from her humans should be adequate.
Located in Carabooda.
Medical notes
Stella is very healthy, being fed the most nourishing diet available to make her develop to her fullest potential. She has been wormed, de-flea'd, microchipped, sterilised and had both vaccinations. We will ask the adoptive family to continue feeding a similar quality food.
Adoption details
When you see the picture, read the profile & think "This is the one!" I want to hear from you! Please message me with your email address so I can send you an application form. Although it's important for these adoptees to find their forever homes asap, there will be an informal interview process to see if you both match. This is the difference between adopting & buying and it serves the really important purpose of keeping you together for life. All family members will be included in the adoption process. Everyone counts.
1. Message me.
2. I send you an Application form via email.
3. I will phone you.
4. Meet & greet.
5. 2 week (or more) trial adoption.
6. You have a new family member!
The adoption fee shown on each listing mainly covers the cost of the vetwork needed before adoption & it allows rescue continuity. It is seriously much cheaper to adopt from a rescue than to get a "Free to good home" & organise all the vetwork yourself.
Once it's been decided that you will trial your possible family member, you will complete the adoption form, pay the fee & take him/her home to see for sure that the fit is right. The settling in process can take some time or it may be almost instant. If after a while (around 2 weeks) it becomes apparant that the chemistry just isn't there, the animal can be returned for a full refund. Please be aware that this is not a failure for either you or the adoptee. It simply didn't work & there is no blame.
If the adoption goes ahead but some unforseen circumstance rises in the future, near or far, where you must be separated, your pet MUST be returned to PRAAS; not rehomed by yourself. We have rescued that animal & we need to know that he/she is safe for the rest of its life. It may be that you have a wonderful next home to move them to, in which case please let us know.
If the animal is returned to us at this later stage there is no refund.
