Sparky is super-sociable with people and other pets. He has most of the wonderful traits of his mixed Bengal heritage. He is energetic, athletic, crazy-playful, curious, friendly, loves being stroked from head to tail over again, will sleep with you and will follow you around for parts of the day to see how you are and what you might have to offer - he will give chirrupping sounds to let you know he wants to be with you & climbs on chairs or towers to get to your level. He is a people-oriented cat but not a lap cat.
He has grown into a cat that makes people say 'wow' when they see him! He has super long legs and a long, lean body - he looks like some miniature jungle cat! I have not been able to get a photo that does his adult self justice.
He has a triangular pixie face and a shiny coat advertising his health. His bright musk pink nose is so pretty. His slim body is very athletic and he is brave - will try anything once.
Since he grew up with bigger cats trouncing him, he tends to play that way with other cats in his life and will have to learn to tone it down a bit if he's with less vigorous ones. He has been adopted out once but sadly was returned after 3 months: tho his new family loved him very much, an earlier feline family member became very put out by young Sparky's advances and ran away (he came back safely.)
Sparky is a great climber, loves to be up high, and usually isn't too vocal unless you accidentally lock him in somewhere on his own. He's very smart! His short, glossy and beautifully marbled coat will be mimimum maintenance all his life!
To think that soon after he was born, some human dumped him and 2 other kittens in a bin is impossible to understand, however he & his companions then hit the jackpot because they were found & handed to the pound. Luckily for us all, soon after that all 3 came to live & grow up with me.
Life then became pretty grand as they were spoiled rotten while they recovered and they developed as normal kittens because even tho they lost their mother at too young an age, I supplemented their needs as closely as I could and they are all extremely healthy.
Sparky has grow up with numerous cats & 2 dogs and is very confident with them. He would like to have dogs in the home as long as they have been "catified" - trained to realise that cats are the lords of the universe. He would really love for his new home to have another cat or two as he is extremely cat-social ... he goes up to any new cat or kitten and straight away asks to play. But they would have to be tolerant cats who can handle his playful self. He will love children too but supervision will be required with little ones.
Sparky has grown up indoors but would truly benefit from having a secure cat enclosure. He got out a few times and he loved the outdoors but because of the dangers facing any free-roaming cat he must live inside. With plenty of toys & tunnels & towers & scratch posts & the company of other pets & his own family, he will be happy. He does need a lot of company & mental stimulation as well as the usual cat downtime.
Sparky is outgoing and always on the lookout for his next adventure. He will provide you with endless amusement and love in return for good food, company and a safe & loving home.

Sparky is a superbly healthy young cat who has been sterilised & microchipped and had both F5 kitten vaccinations. He is up to date with parasite control. A lot of attention is given to his researched, top quality diet so he can develop to her fullest potential.
When you see the picture, read the profile & think "This is the one!" I want to hear from you! Please message me with your email address so I can send you an application form. Although it's important for these adoptees to find their forever homes asap, there will be an informal interview process to see if you both match. This is the difference between adopting & buying and it serves the really important purpose of keeping you together for life. All family members will be included in the adoption process. Everyone counts.
1. Message me.
2. I send you an Application form via email.
3. I will phone you.
4. Meet & greet.
5. 2 week (or more) trial adoption.
6. You have a new family member!
The adoption fee shown on each listing mainly covers the cost of the vetwork needed before adoption & it allows rescue continuity. It is seriously much cheaper to adopt from a rescue than to get a "Free to good home" & organise all the vetwork yourself.
Once it's been decided that you will trial your possible family member, you will complete the adoption form, pay the fee & take him/her home to see for sure that the fit is right. The settling in process can take some time or it may be almost instant. If after a while (around 2 weeks) it becomes apparant that the chemistry just isn't there, the animal can be returned for a full refund. Please be aware that this is not a failure for either you or the adoptee. It simply didn't work & there is no blame.
If the adoption goes ahead but some unforseen circumstance rises in the future, near or far, where you must be separated, your pet MUST be returned to PRAAS; not rehomed by yourself. We have rescued that animal & we need to know that he/she is safe for the rest of its life. It may be that you have a wonderful next home to move them to, in which case please let us know.
If the animal is returned to us at this later stage there is no refund.
