That's right, it's "Prawn", he's no shrimp!
A little puppy wrapped up in a big snuggly package of furry love.
If you're searching for a big beautiful family doggo that is a quick learner, has a gentle nature, a sweet soul, is toilet trained, well behaved, likes to snuggle on the couch at night, enjoys the company of other pups, is still a puppy but yet a bit more mature, sleeps through the night in his crate, has manners and is ridiculously good looking... then you've come to the right place.
Prawn is everything mentioned above and then some. And for one very lucky family he will make the most perfect new addition.
Currently coming up to the four month mark, Prawn is a perfect mixture of staffy x cattle dog. He has the best traits of both breeds. Incredibly intelligent and not a bit snappy or nippy (no-one could label this guy a landshark).
Like many rescue puppies, this little guy didn't have the best start in life. He still carries a few insecurities and doesn't like to be left without other canine companionship and can sometimes be spooked into retreating to a safe and quiet place. But these are all things that will be easily managed and are very workable with the right dog savvy family and continued training.
Prawn has adapted and settled into his foster care family home without a single hiccup or issue. Toilet trained from day dot without a single accident. Sleeping in a crate at night without even the smallest of qualms. Has learnt his name, to sit on command and has some fairly decent recall (at home and when not distracted by something fun).
Life for Prawn at the moment is an interesting one. He currently lives with four other rescue dogs ranging in sizes, breeds and age. The smallest being a chihuahua x and the largest being a mastiff x.
Also living in foster care with Prawn is a baby fawn. Yes you read that correctly! Prawn has a foster sister fawn. And for a young puppy of just four months old, Prawn is extremely gentle and loving to his foster sister. Some might say that Prawn is a little bit smitten with his deer foster sibling. So we can officially state that Prawn is both dog friendly and fawn friendly!
Prawn needs a home with the following, some of these are deal breakers so please make sure you meet this criteria as close as possible.
- A home with another dog. Prawn will not be rehomed as an only dog.
- Access to indoors 24/7. Prawn is very used to using a doggy door and will spend some of his day outside in the yard and some of his day relaxing on the sofa.
- Must sleep indoors at night on a soft plush bed. Prawn deserves only the best!
- Continued puppy and adolescent dog training.
- Daily walks. Prawn doesn't need to run a marathon everyday but he is a working breed mix so a good walk and play at your local dog friendly park or beach will make for a very happy and content Prawn.
- Space! Space in your car and space in your home. Prawn is going to grow into a big adult dog. He'll need a family that is ready for this and prepared for a big beautiful baby dog.
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs please email and tell us all about your family, other pets, lifestyle, accommodation and anything else relevant to your enquiry, this information helps us to know if the dog you are enquiring about will suit your family. As all of our rescue dogs are in foster care in private homes we know what our dogs want and need to keep them happy when they are adopted by their new family. Home visits are done to check fencing, meet family members and other animals in the home. Once the home check is complete you are welcome to visit the dog in his foster home and all going well the dog will go on a two week trial with your family. We are always happy to extend the trial period if necessary. If for any reason at any time the adoption fails please contact us immediately, we will always take our dogs back into care
