About Biscuit
Hey there! I’m Biscuit, affectionately known as Bickie. I’m a 2.5 year old terrier cross, small to medium size.
My foster carer says I have a sad past. She doesn’t know exactly what my past is but when I met her 1.5yrs ago I was so shy and so scared of people that I wouldn’t let anyone touch me. My foster carer, the lovely team at Heading for Home rescue and my fur sister spent the next year and a half teaching me about all these wonderful things I’d never known before – pats, toys, yummy food, playtime, walks, being inside a home, my own bed to sleep in, treats and so much more. Oh, and did I mention treats… I love treats. That’s what my foster carer said helped me learn to trust people. It took me a long time because I was so, so shy but I am iprovi g all the time and are much better now.
I will always be shy and a bit scared so busy noisy homes will not be for me, but everyone says I’m a really sweet and gentle boy who just needs to be shown lots of love.
I still get scared to be picked up and it takes me a while to get used to new people but once I have a routine and someone who understands dogs with my background to help me learn I have loads of love to give.
My carers also say Im definitely better have another dog sibling, especially one who is confident and super friendly with people that I can learn from. I agree I love my doggy mates.
And I’d love somewhere that I can run around a big yard – I have lots of energy! I’m not a fence jumper and I’m not destructive. I’m a quick learner, I know sit, drop, shake and I’m pretty good at my toilet training now (I do still have the occasional accident though). I don’t have any known medical issues. I like kids but little ones easily scare me so it would be better for me to find a home without young kids.
My foster carer says she’ll miss me. She has a soft spot for me but she says it’s time for me to find my forever home. She’s hopes I can find the perfect home. I do too! Bickie
