About Layla**On Hold Deposit Paid
Not currently available as deposit has been paid.
Layla is a grey & white soft-coated sweetheart born to a very young mum and dumped at a vet, soon transferred to my care. She's a gutsy little girl who climbs to the top of the cat tree, plays with the dogs & bigger kittens, wants to eat out of her mum's food bowl and enjoys being stroked & picked up for a cuddle before she scoots off to her next interest. Life is a huge big adventure for her!
She's in good health because mumma Pixie gave her all for her babies - all the nourishment and love that she had. She was and is a wonderful mother, still washing them & calling them to feed even though she's so thin.
Layla is in foster care with her mother Pixie & her sister Willow. They all share the house with more cats & kittens of all ages and 2 dogs. She & Willow adore playing crazy versions of hide & seek through the cat tunnels and streaking up & down the cat towers.
Now about 7 weeks old, she has had her first vaccination and microchip & is just waiting to get a bit bigger to be fully weaned & learn every social behaviour she can get from her mumma, sister & foster siblings before being sterilised, when she can go to her new home.
If you are interested in Layla you're welcome to apply to adopt her, meet her & put down a deposit to keep her until she's ready to go.
For her safety and your own peace of mind Layla should be an indoor-only cat, although a secure cat enclosure would be a wonderful bonus for her. But an enriched household (with cat towers, scratchers & plenty of toys), some good window seats & views of outside perhaps with a screen door or window to look through & sniff the breeze, and lots of attention should be adequate. Layla is an active girl and would love to have furry members of the family to play with.
Located in Yanchep.
Medical notes
Layla was wormed & de-flea'd, then transferred to a top quality diet as soon as she came into care. She is thriving on all the food & attention & stimulation she's getting.

Adoption details
When you see the picture, read the profile & think "This is the one!" I want to hear from you! Please message me with your email address so I can send you an application form. Although it's important for these adoptees to find their forever homes asap, there will be an informal interview process to see if you both match. This is the difference between adopting & buying and it serves the really important purpose of keeping you together for life. All family members will be included in the adoption process. Everyone counts.
1. Message me.
2. I send you an Application form via email.
3. I will phone you.
4. Meet & greet.
5. 2 week (or more) trial adoption.
6. You have a new family member!
The adoption fee shown on each listing mainly covers the cost of the vetwork needed before adoption & it allows rescue continuity. It is seriously much cheaper to adopt from a rescue than to get a "Free to good home" & organise all the vetwork yourself.
Once it's been decided that you will trial your possible family member, you will complete the adoption form, pay the fee & take him/her home to see for sure that the fit is right. The settling in process can take some time or it may be almost instant. If after a while (around 2 weeks) it becomes apparant that the chemistry just isn't there, the animal can be returned for a full refund. Please be aware that this is not a failure for either you or the adoptee. It simply didn't work & there is no blame.
If the adoption goes ahead but some unforseen circumstance rises in the future, near or far, where you must be separated, your pet MUST be returned to PRAAS; not rehomed by yourself. We have rescued that animal & we need to know that he/she is safe for the rest of its life. It may be that you have a wonderful next home to move them to, in which case please let us know.
If the animal is returned to us at this later stage there is no refund.
