About Maya
Meet Maya - our bubbly little pocket rocket princess. Maya is a 4 and a half year old Siberian Husky who is a pint sized bundle of fun who can be a little shy at first and then super confident once she knows you. She's a fluffy little puff ball who loves attention.
Maya will be your new BFF once she knows there are treats on offer. She will bunny-hop on her back legs to get your attention and when asked she sits beautifully. In her eagerness she can grab treats until you remind her to be "gentle" so that she takes them politely. Due to her love of tasty treats and reward she will be fun to train once adopted by her new family.
Maya originally came to us very shy - she has improved considerably since then. She's now a social girl who accepts new friends far quicker and will be a loyal family member once she knows you. She can be a cheeky, quirky rascal - she likes to catch flies and dash away from you when it's time to be brushed (she pretends to be interested in something else until you forget you wanted to brush her).
Maya is a poser for the camera - in this day and age where selfie skills are vital Maya has that base covered. She loves to photo bomb and will gently push her way to the front of the treat-queue when her canine friends aren't looking (...and when they are!) When you're as pretty and spritely as Maya it's hard not to have a little bit of a "look at me" attitude!
Maya is good with other dogs so she'd ideally love a home with another friendly canine buddy to chill out with. She wouldn't suit being an only dog. When she has a canine friend that she has bonded with she likes to sit with them and shoot the breeze. She loves walks and walks quite well on lead - she is curious about her surroundings so likes to get out every day to see what's going on. As with most of our arctics we suggest a home without cats, pocket pets or chickens.
Maya may suit a home with older kids or a couple or single person who can spend time with her. She is active but not over the top energy-wise so as long as she gets human attention, is included in your family-life and has daily exercise she will love you to pieces.
