About Jet
Jet is a 3 ½ year old beautiful big black Great Dane who has just recently been desexed and very reluctantly being rehomed. He’s a relatively typical Great Dane - enormous amounts of love to give, a daily walk is a highlight, up for a play and then quite happy to kick back with a fluffy toy. Jet has been living with another female Great Dane and this works well for him. He could possibly become an only dog but would need more than average amounts of company for quite some time to adapt.
Jet hasn’t lived with cats or other small animals but while he’s been out country he’s shown very little if any prey drive for any passing native animals so we expect he’d adapt to small fury family members with appropriate introductions.
Children love Jet and he’s not shown any exception to the few he’s met but he hasn’t grown up with or lived with children. For this reason we’d consider a home with slightly older children of 10 years plus.
Jet is very affectionate and a delight in the home. His favourite game is tug and he’ll trot off to find his rope when invited to play the game. He is an inside dog and needs a nice big padded bed or two seater couch to hang out with his people.
He hasn’t had much to do with many dogs outside those he’s lived with so he may need to remain an onlead dog out in social areas but we expect he’ll be able to make doggy friends if introduced slowly. It’d be really nice for Jet to find another big female friend to romp around with.
If you’ve got a whole lot of love to give a Great Dane and prepared for even more to come back your way in return, maybe Jet is for you?
